<p>A cup or bottle cozy for the hot drinks one needs in winter is obvious &#8211; to keep it hot and my hands from burning. But I have discovered that a felted wool bottle cozy is also ideal for summer and my chilled water bottle. Chilled water + stainless steel bottle = wet.</p>
<div id="attachment_654" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 260px"><a href="http://www.seaairarts.com/weblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/felted-cozy-2.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-654" title="felted-cozy-2" src="http://www.seaairarts.com/weblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/felted-cozy-2-250x449.jpg" alt="after felting" width="250" height="449" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">after felting</p></div>
<p>My felted wool cozy is keeping my water colder longer and keeps it from leaving water rings on everything I set it down on &#8211; and my hands dry!</p>
<div id="attachment_655" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 260px"><a href="http://www.seaairarts.com/weblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/felted-cozy-3.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-655" title="felted-cozy-3" src="http://www.seaairarts.com/weblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/felted-cozy-3-250x295.jpg" alt="fused glass button" width="250" height="295" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">fused glass button</p></div>
<p>Now that&#8217;s cool! And make sure you notice the ever-so-cool hot (fused) glass button by my DH!</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<div id="attachment_656" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 260px"><strong><strong><a href="http://www.seaairarts.com/weblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/felted-cozy-detail.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-656" title="felted-cozy-detail" src="http://www.seaairarts.com/weblog/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/felted-cozy-detail-250x255.jpg" alt="felted knitting has a great texture!" width="250" height="255" /></a></strong></strong><p class="wp-caption-text">felted knitting has a great texture!</p></div>
<p><strong>The details:</strong><br />
<strong>Yarn;</strong> Shepherd&#8217;s Wool worsted in dark eggplant (they call it Plum), Noro Kureyon in color # 207 (basically purples and oranges).<br />
<strong>Pattern:</strong> This one is from a free pattern on the now (sadly) gone Mag Knits by <a title="LynnH's web site" href="http://colorjoy.com/" target="_blank">LynnH</a>.  But you can buy a full featured and fancier version from her web site at <a title="Link to Zig Zag Pattern" href="http://www.colorjoy.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=144&amp;osCsid=1ca90a7f7303051cb82ec452e3b863d7" target="_blank">Color Joy!</a></p>
<p>This was fun, I think I&#8217;ll do another  <img src='http://www.seaairarts.com/weblog/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif' alt=':)' class='wp-smiley' /> </p>
