- Learn to knit Toe-Up socks!
1710 Learn to Knit Toe-Up Socks, in a day
Dates: A – Saturday, 2/6, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, 1 sessions
OR
Dates: B – Saturday, 4/10, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, 1 sessions
Learn to knit socks with a simple toe-up approach. Ideal for spinners too, as you will learn to fit with any gauge yarn on any size foot! You will knit a mini sock with worsted weight yarn on two circular needles (or one long circular), all in one day. The skills you learn, and the pattern and handouts you take home, will allow you to make full size socks that really fit with ease. The benefits of toe-up knitting are many, you will be glad you did.
Required supplies and equipment: Two 24″ long (or one 40″ long), size 6 (7 or 8 are OK) circular needles, two ounces of worsted wight wool yarn in a light color, basic knitting kit, note taking tools. Handouts and patterns included.
Required Books: None
Prerequisite: Must know how to knit in the round

- Next Step Toe-Up Socks
2704 The Next Step; Toe Up Socks
Dates: Tuesdays, 2/9, 2/16 and 2/23, 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, 3 sessions
Learn to knit a traditional style sock from the “Toe Up” so you always have the right amount of yarn and you know they will fit because you can try them on as you go. The pattern is ideal for spinners as well because you can knit with almost any gauge for almost any size. Lots of good sock knitting tips thrown in! With a classic flat toe and flap heel it looks just like the traditional top-down sock.
Required supplies and equipment: 100 g of worsted weight or DK weight yarn (preferred). Two circular needles (or one long circular) in size to give a snug gauge. You can pick out your yarn and needles at the first class. A basic knitting kit and note taking tools.
Required Books: None
Prerequisite: Must have taken “Learn to Knit Toe-Up Socks” or have finished at least one pair of socks first.

- Learn to knit Socks
1709 Beginning Sock Knitting, in a day
Dates: A – Saturday, 2/27, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, 1 sessions

Learn to knit socks with a simple cuff-to-toe approach. Ideal for spinners too, as you will learn to fit with any gauge yarn on any size foot! You will knit a mini sock with worsted weight yarn on two circular needles (or one long circular), all in one day. The skills you learn, and the pattern and handouts you take home, will allow you to make full size socks that really fit with ease. Stop drooling over all the luscious sock yarns and knit with them!
Required supplies and equipment: Two 24″ long (or one 40″ long), size 6 (7 or 8 are OK) circular needles, two ounces of worsted wight wool yarn in a light color, basic knitting kit, note taking tools. Handouts and patterns included.

- Two on Two!
3708 Toe Up, Two at a Time – Socks
Dates: Fridays, 3/16, 3/30, 4/6 and 4/13, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, 4 sessions
First class 6:00 to 9:00 pm, remaining courses 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Take your sock knitting to the next level! You will learn to knit socks from the “Toe Up” so you always have just the right amount of yarn. Plus, knit them on one long, circular needle and work both socks at the same time. When you are done, you are done. Knit from Deb’s “any gauge, any size” sock pattern with lots of great sock knitting hints thrown in. Pattern utilizes a standard flat-toe and a heel-flap style heel. Your friends will be amazed and you’ll escape the single-sock-syndrome! Not for the faint of heart. Must have knit socks before.
Required supplies and equipment: Standard knitting tool kit.* 100 grams of yarn in sock, DK, or worsted weight. One 40″ or 47″ circular needle in a size appropriate for your weight yarn & determined by your gauge swatch. One set of double point needles in the same size. Heel & Toe reinforcing yarn (if your yarn has no nylon in it – optional). One small ball of light colored yarn in a worsted weight. One set of double point needles in a size 7 or 8. Worsted or DK weight yarn for your first pair is highly recommended! ! We STRONGLY recommend the use of Raggi sock yarn for your first pair (worsted weight, size 5 needles).

Prerequisite: Intermediate Knitter: must have knit socks before.

- Sock Toes!
2711 Toe Options All Day
Dates: B – Saturday, 3/27, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, 1 sessions
OR
Dates: B – Saturday, 5/15, 9:30 am to 4:00 pm, 1 sessions
Learn at least six alternative toes for knitting a toe-up sock. There’s more than one way to build a sock – these options give you choices in your knitting and even make socks fit better and stay hole-free longer. After taking this class you will be able to create “toe envy” with your sock knitting friends! Covers all toes taught in “Toe Options 1″ and “Toe Options, the Sequel”.
Required supplies and equipment: Tapestry needle. Worsted weight yarn in a smooth texture and light color, size 8 double-pointed needles, and two size 8, 24″ circular needles (magic loop OK), knitting tool kit.
Required Books: none
Prerequisite: “Learn to Knit Toe-Up Socks” strongly recommended. Must be a confident beginning knitter; be able to cast-on, knit, purl, increase, decrease and bind-off.
